Fellowship of Australian Writers
Lambing Flat Branch
(Young, NSW)
THE WRITERS' GROUP
The Lambing Flat Branch
of the Fellowship of Australian Writers had its first meeting in Young in 1984.
This Writers' Group is an eclectic gathering of enthusiastic amateur and professional writers who live in the Hilltops district of Young, New South Wales.
We meet on the second Monday of every month, excepting December and January.
We are a small group. In our meetings we give each other encouragement and support in our respective writing pursuits and we challenge ourselves with writing tasks outside our comfort zones.
Young is a significant cherry growing area in the Hilltops area of NSW and hosts a Cherry Festival in December. As part of this Festival our Writers' Group runs a very popular Writing Competition for adults and school children. The entry forms will be available in July 2015.
We welcome visitors to our group.
New members aare especially welcome to our Fellowship of Writers.
